Hallo! My name is Kelly. I grew up in New Orleans, LA. I married my husband Billy in Oct 2000 in N.O. We have three children and have moved from Abita, Springs, Louisiana to Stuttgart, Germany. This is something we have dreamed about and it is our first expat experience. I hope everyone enjoys reading about our adventures because I am very excited to share.

Paris, France

Actual Dates of this trip: April 4 - April 11

I am way way behind on blogging as you can see by the dates and it is killing Billy.  I am going to write a few from spring/summer in condensed versions because I am trying to catch up before our end of the year trips.

So, this trip to Paris was all planned by Billy, definitely not the norm.  We took a 3 hour train ride in a Friday morning to Paris and arrived about 11am.  Our apartment was ideally located right out of a metro stop and 2 blocks from the Eiffel Tower.

We stayed in Paris 4 nights and then rented a car and drove through the Louire Valley to see the beautiful French countryside and a few chateaus.  We rented a carin Paris for our side adventure and spent a night in Tours and Orleans.  Orleans seemed so fitting to stay in and I absolutely loved it.

Over the course of our time in Paris we climbed the Eiffel Tower, YES we climbed

And there we are at the top.:) Billy was taking the photo

We saw Sacre Coeur, probably located in the sketchiest area of Paris we saw the entire trip

We, of cours, visited The Louvre and saw the famous Mona Lisa

We did the love locks on the famous bridge

We visited Notre Dame

Enjoyed amazing, including the best crepes located near The Eiffel Tower

We had to stroll down Champs Élysées, where Blake decided he was in love with Chanel cologne

The flowers and gardens everywhere were beautiful in spring

This was our view when looking out the apartment window
And in front of our building
Here are a few randoms.  I really wish we had more family photos

The Eiffel Tower sparkles every 30 minutes, if I remember correctly, at night

The Paris underground

Next up driving through the Loire Valley we saw sights like this

Our first chateau was
Chambord Castle

And Chenonceau

The government building in Tours.

All these towns were amazing and I have so many photos but can't post all of them for sure.

Thanks for following along in our delayed postings because we are still enjoying our journey.
